I learned a lot by reading this book when I was first starting: Wedding Planning & Management: Consultancy For Diverse Clients. In the book it suggests setting a set price in the beginning instead of a % because many of your clients may have smaller budgets. Research your competitor's websites and see what they are charging. Every market is different. You might also want to check out Natalie Bradley's Bride Attraction System. I use it and it's well worth the money-I have learned SO much from it. I am just starting in my business as well so I would love to talk more about our businesses. My struggle is convincing brides that a wedding planner is necessary as that is not how it is perceived here in the UK. One thing I learned from Natalie though is not to discount your services because you're devaluing yourself. Instead, throw in bonuses that don't cost you much. I hope to speak to you soon!

hello fellow wedding planners.... I am new to the industry, and would love to speak with an experianced planner and pick your brain a little. My big question right now, is what is the most appropiate way to charge your clients?
I'm in NYC- if anyone would like to speak about how to make their wedding run smoothly and be at it's best. I would LOVE to speak with you!!!
