I'm wondering why weddings are now 18 hour days, with brides getting up at 6 am in order to be ready to get their hair done; and often not starting their cocktail hour until 7 pm or later. I've recently seen brides so tired they were sick.
How about introducing the ten hour wedding - with hair, makeup and lunch from 12-2; ceremony around 3; cocktails from 4-5:30 (and formal photos) - dinner from 6-7:30; and dancing from 7:30-10.
Any takers?

Hi Naomi,
I as a makeup artist, totally agree. This week I have to start a bride and her party at 6am, they need to be ready for pictures by 8:45am. It's so crazy.....
