Hello Wedding Professionals,
I need your help! I'm preparing a blog post that will be published this month, which will be called: 2016 Wedding Predictions. I'd love to hear your thoughts on what those predictions and trends will be. I'll pick the 10 best predictions, and I'll feature 10 wedding businesses!
If I choose your prediction, I'll be sure to mention your business name and link to your website. So, this is a great way for you to get a ton of free exposure for your business.
Here's what I need you to do...
Here's an example...
2016 Weddings Will Experience Dramatic Opulence. Lush, romantic linens and floral arrangements set the tone for an opulent affair. When designing, you want to add that
"drama" piece - whether it be in your intricate table linens, a gleaming candelabra, bride and groom chairs, or hey, even a wall of flowers! Also, keep the look consistent. Keep centerpieces of the same height, one style of chairs, and lush tablescapes. There is a wonderful tone of softness in these looks. In the picture to the left we see a dramatic, visually stimulating table. But look closer - doesn't the decor convey romance and a certain sense of whimsical? The "Dramatic Opulence
wedding trend is all about creating an experience within the event.

And here's a look at last year's 2015 wedding trends predictions.
Thanks in advance for your help. I can't wait to see what you think will happen to weddings in the New Year!

Go Digital so you can Go Big with your all important First Impression. The hot news for invitations is Go Digital. With the cost saving of digital invitations, brides are upgrading their invitation stock, linings and embellishments. We have seen a huge increase in this printing method over thermography, letterpress and engraving. By opting for this cost effective printing method, brides are able to upgrade to impressive double thick card stock and embellishments. Multi-color invitations are also more affordable since there are no extra costs for additional colors. Let your imagination go wild with the possibilities that are now open to you that you thought you couldn't afford. Think about the gorgeous hand made papers you can use for layering your invitations and lining your envelopes. The add-ons are endless when you save on the printing costs.

Fun reception food! I am seeing more couples choosing to have small portions of favorite foods like burgers, mac and cheese bites, mini grilled cheese and soup shooters as the main food. They are skipping cocktail hours and serving enough of these foods to make a meal. It doesn't look like cookout food, but is just as tasty.

Unique and personalized music for the ceremony and reception. We predict couples will go beyond the traditional in terms of music and entertainment in 2016. From choosing unique bands (i.e. swing orchestra, folk/local band, a cappella groups), non-traditional DJs, special entertainment (i.e. belly dancers, mariachi groups) and personalized song choices, couples will seek out the new and different in terms of entertainment and music for 2016. -Jennelle, Bella Ballroom Dance Studio
The Instagram or Selfie Station
It's very inexpensive to setup and the guests love it. Just buy a few large empty frames (try a second hand store ~ you can always add a coat of paint!) and a selfie stick, and some inexpensive props like boas, mustaches, funny glasses and hats, and make a few little stick signs or have some chalkboards or something so that people can make their own signs, and voila it's a station. Be sure to choose a custom hashtag for your wedding and post it at the station so you will have access to all the fun photos your friends have taken!

My prediction is brides opting for a splash of color in their jewelry to compliment their ensemble. Also I see a trend towards an "Old World" theme such as seen in my French Mermaid Collection Couture Hand-Embroidered Bridal Beaded Souitache Jewelry. This is a technique that I learned from my grandmere in France when I was a young girl. It is an ancient art form derived from 14th century France. Whether the wedding be simple or upscale our bride always shines in her choice of our custom one-of-a-kind designs.

More and more Brides are paying attention to detail, lace from their dress is being used in hairpieces and other accessories or even from their Mother or Granny's vintage dresses, along with touches of retinue colors are going to become more and more popular as Brides are enjoying adding some color to their overall look and creating memorable, heirloom, keepsakes.
MIX IT UP! MAKE IT AESTHETICALLY PLEASING TO THE EYE!
Mix up the seating! Infuse rectangles in with rounds and even standups!
Mix up the linens! Play with textures that complement one another! Use style / pattern for round and one for rectangles
Mix up the seating! One style for rounds and another for rectangles.
Mix up the centerpieces! Long, low and lush for the rectangles, or perhaps a floral runner that cascades down. Tall and beautiful for the rounds.
Mix up the metals! Gold, bronze, silver etc, they look stunning together!
Have fun!
Bright colors and soft will be popular! I'm doing alot of consultations where brides want to incorporate coral, teal, turquoise and yellow.
2016 Weddings are concentrating on putting FUN into their receptions. Couples for this coming year want to put the fun back in receptions. They want their guests to truly have a good time and are willing to go outside the box looking for ideas to entertain their guests. Indoor and outdoor games of all types are showing up at receptions. Performances are on the rise whether that be singers, dancers, magicians, or ballet companies. Unique guest photo areas and interactive food and drink stations such as Bellini bars, beer and wine tasting, popcorn and candy bars, ice cream Sunday bars, fire pits and Sterno bars for s'mores, and food trucks are all on the rise.
