Is proper skincare or make up on the day of more important to the bride for her wedding?

I am interested to know if people consider getting their skin together while planning their wedding or is it more important to pay big bucks and find the best make up artist in town for the day of the wedding? The first 10 brides to offer feedback gets their make up done free the day of their wedding within 25 miles of St. Louis, MO or IL.

Though i don't live in that area, I have to say that I have been trying to get my skin together for the wedding. I think that for me it's one of those things where I kind of let it go before but I'm trying to get good habits and get my skin so it's beautiful on my wedding day, through the honeymoon and on from there.
What area are you located in? I would love to offer you a few tips on how to maintain that healthy beautiful skin even while you are on a honey moon. Send me a message and we can talk if you would like. You can email me to my personal account if you are unsure of how to do that at partywithcece@yahoo.com
I don't live in your area, but being a trained cosmetologist, this post caught my eye. I think skin care is a must. Dark Marks can be hidden but pimples can never be completely concealed.

Drink plenty water and keep the system clean for at least two months before the wedding, so that when makeup is applied, you only have to worry about hiding dark marks; hence giving the illusion of flawless skin when makeup is applied.

Hope this helps.

I don't live in this area either, nor am I a bride, but I wanted to be able to help and chime in.

For a lot of my brides (I too am a makeup artist), they always seem to prepare their skin for the wedding day to ensure the best possible makeup application. A lot of time my brides always ask me if they should get facials, which products to use and what they can do to improve their skin so that it looks better. Therefore, I would say that it has been a combination of both skin care and cosmetic prep that my brides take.
