I'm speaking at the NNJ ABC event, and I need your thoughts naming my session.  Naming is sooo not my best skill, hopefully, it's one of yours.

I'm talking about one of my favorite topics-  non-violent communication.  It's a great way to manage sticky situations or help an uncertain bride.  You know, a way to understand your bride's unexpressed emotions and needs and make your life easier.

What do you think of these titles?  I know they're not that sexy so feel free to mix and match or add your own ideas! :)

1. You're Listening, but Do You Understand Your Bride? 4 Steps to Yes

2. She's  Talking, Are You Hearing? 4 Easy Steps to 'Get' What Your Bride Wants

3. Deciphering Bride Speak in 4 Simple Steps

 4. How to Hear What Your Bride Is Saying so You Can Plan the Perfect Day

Uh, that's my best shot ladies.  Can't wait to hear what you think?  Thanks so much!

Warmly,  Dina

Number one. (and I'm a guy, BTW!) LOL! :-)
I stand corrected! LOL Great to have your thoughts, MW! Thanks.
Hi Dina, I like #4, its straight and to the point, and planners and brides have the same goal, "That perfect day"!

Good luck
Gosh, thanks you, two! You picked my two favorites. Maybe someone will break the tie!
Dina, hmmmm...
Ok... I HATE writing so I feel for you!!

I like #3 and #4.

I'd really like to hear your presentation though. I have some of "those" (not fun-no-time consuming, yes). Thanks and have a great day!!

Thanks, Michele. I plan to submit a proposal to ABC national to become part of their training faculty. Keep your fingers crossed!

Thanks for the great suggestions everyone. I'm either going to use:

Hear What Your Bride is Saying & Plan the Perfect Wedding

Hear What Your Bride is Really Saying: Non-Violent Communication Skills for Wedding Professionals

or punt!!
Hi Dina,

I really don't like number 2 or 4 - "hearing," to me, is like "um, yeah, like, I hear you..." "Listening" is hearing the person, but more importantly is UNDERSTANDING. My two cents on those terms anyway...

I do like number 3 to an extent... which bride speak though? Who is your target audience at this event? Planners, Stationers, Florists, Travel Agents, a large mixture???

Maybe something like "4 simple steps to understanding your brides needs"?

Hope this helps!!
Great feedback. Your distinction between hearing and listening is just what I'd like to highlight. Everyone hears, and no one thinks he or she is a bad listener.

I finally ended up with, Hear What Your Bride is Really Saying: Communication Skills for Wedding Professionals. That speaks to my target which is anyone who is 'bride-facing', although the skills are useful with colleagues, too.

Thanks again!
Great title!!
