A little about yourself and what you have to offer this wedding community?
Nerissa is dedicated to creating and providing seamless events without sacrificing style. She formed Private Receptions to help alleviate the anxiety and frustration that people have when faced with the complexity of orchestrating and designing their own special events.
After receiving her MFA from Pratt Institute, Nerissa created and developed the event design & floral division at B.R. Guest Restaurants and the JAMES Hotels. Nerissa worked as the Director of Style and Design where she facilitated the events for high profile clients and organizations like Rudolph Giuliani, Howard Stern , Julia Roberts, EMI Records, Bon Appetit, Wine Enthusiast, The James Beard Foundation, New York Magazine, CityHarvest, Food & Wine Magazine, The New York Times, Fox 5 Morning Show.
Her 10 years within fine arts, event design and advertising enables her to manage all aspects of planning, designing, and producing events. Currently, an active participant and recent Board Member nominee of the International Special Events Society Nerissa works diligently to address critical economic demands within the wedding and events categories. Based in Manhattan, she offers her creative and organizational services in both New York and Washington DC.
