A little about yourself and what you have to offer this wedding community?
My name is Morgan Calhoon. I am a full time designer specializing in custom invitations and printed event materials – for weddings, birthdays, retirement parties, baby showers, and much more! I have always helped friends and family with invitations for their special events, but it wasn’t until I began looking for my own invitations that I realized how generic and boring the choices were – same old papers, same fonts, and a small selection of graphic elements (you know, bells, doves, birthday candles, etc). None of the available options felt like they were special enough for my boyfriend’s upcoming 30th birthday celebration.
This was when I realized that my friends weren't choosing the same old invitations for their events because they wanted to, but because, in an effort to save money and with limited design skills, they had no better option. This is where I come in! For each unique project, I work with you to understand your budget, occasion, guest(s) of honor, and how every aspect can reflect your style and personality. I really believe that an appropriate and exciting invitation can set the stage for any occasion – and carrying that same design style throughout the event (menus, place cards, etc.) ties the whole thing together.
