My name is Ashley Porter and I am just getting started with event planning. I have a degree from Belmont University in Marketing and Music Business. I had a couple different jobs right out of school in the Music industry but with the economy was pushed into getting a job in accounting. That isn't where my heart is and have decided to do what I love to do. I love planning events and with my past jobs have planned a few music events. Event planning is where my heart is and what I am most passionate about so I decided to start dabbling a bit and do some smaller jobs to build my experience to eventually do it full time. I was writing you to see if you had any shadowing opportunities available or any suggestions on where to get started? I have been reading blogs and listening to podcasts. At this point, I have the book knowledge and am looking to learn more with hands on experience. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
