A little about yourself and what you have to offer this wedding community?
From my earliest memories I have crafted with anything I could get my hands on. My mother affectionately called me the "garbage picker" because I would take things from our garbage, like her fabric sewing scraps, little boxes, paper towel rolls and such, to create anything I imagined. My mom saved some of my little gems and she cherishes them to this day. Thankfully, I have advanced my skills and have moved up in the world to finding fabric from fabric shops but I still frequent thrift stores for wedding dresses and ball gowns and vintage jewelery to refashion into something much more useful and beautiful. I made baby and little girl products when I found out I was having a little girl and made a business of it when I quit my teaching job to stay home with my daughter. But not long after I shifted gears into wedding products because I just couldn't stop glitzing up everything I did (and buying vintage jewels~just don't tell my husband that part!) I probably don't need to tell you that vintage jewels and babies don't mix. I couldn't personally use all the rhinestone clad accessories (remember I have a young child. I don't get out much.) So I have begun crafting them into chic wedding accessories, like hair flowers and garters to share with anyone else who cherishes vintage lovelies like I do. I sell locally to friends and brides, and love the custom requests, and from my Etsy shop, Gracefully Girly. Come take a look. Maybe I can make something for you or someone you know!
