A little about yourself and what you have to offer this wedding community?: One of my main goals (other than taking photos that my clients will love) is to help make the photography part of your life as easy and relaxing as possible. I got married about four years ago, and I try to stay updated with the industry and know how exhausting the planning can be. I shoot in a photojournalistic manor, and I LOVE candid portraits. I believe that when people are able to forget that there is a camera watching them, they are extremely carefree and that always provides some of the greatest moments. Of course I still take the traditional portraits, but I like to add a little bit of a modern twist to it so they aren’t so forced.

I also believe that a relationship between photographer and client is crucial to getting the best photos possible. If we are comfortable around each other and have established a trust, then the posing and photo taking will come naturally (not to mention be a whole lot more fun!). So to help you get to know me a little better, here’s a few random facts about me:

Someday, I want to say that I have been to every country in the world.
There’s nothing like knowing that it is 5 degrees at home, but you are on a beach with a tropical drink for the next week.
I tend to like the movies that everyone else hates. Same goes for music (yes, I like Nickelback!)
My husband has gotten me to realize my love for zombies… both in movies and video games.
I met my husband when he was dating one of my best friends back when we were 16.
I can be a bit of a hoarder… a bad habit that has been passed down from the women in my family. Thankfully I think it is getting better with each generation, with my biggest hoarding habit being lots of paper and never deleting anything from my computer.
I also can’t parallel park and would love to get one of those cars that will do it for me.
I treat my pets like they are my children. I have a Boxer dog, and a cat… a fiesty part-Maine Coon.
I am terrified of heights, but love to skydive (Skydive Chicago all the way!!)
I have a new found love of Keurig coffee machines and k-cups. What did I ever do without them?
I am a little too addicted to my phone. I also love the Android system, but am heavily debating switching to an iPhone next time I am due for an upgrade.
I edit my photos using a PC (I like Macs and will get one someday, but for now my PC is my baby).
I have practically lived behind my camera since middle school when I decided to permanently hang on to one of my parents’ cameras.
