A very close friend of ours had a daughter that became engaged...after which, she never attended a bridal show. And I Produce them???
This didn't make sense to me...here's why:
Every bride-to-be should attend at least two or three bridal shows before making ANY wedding or reception decisions.
To explain this, I would like to share this short story:
There is a model who works for me in my bridal fashion shows at my bridal show productions. She got engaged, then immediately started registering at my bridal shows and others. Now, you would think that by modeling Bridal Shows she would have her fill...but NO! She wanted to make sure she found exactly what she wanted for her and her fiance's vision of how their wedding would be.
Because she attended several bridal shows, she was able to find a photographer that fit her and her fiance's personality and budget, she found her DJ, she found her gown, she became knowledgable on tuxedo companies and cake and whether or not she should do video...she was pretty much able to plan her wedding with the confidence that she had found exactly what she wanted...NO REGRETS!
and that's the point...if you are getting married or renewing your vows, do not make 'knee jerk' reactions and commit to everything all at once...look around, see what's out there...and what better and more fun of an avenue to do this then going to a Bridal Show!
