Winter Wedding

Are you planning a Winter Wedding?  Summer has been and gone, and the temperature has dropped but winter offers some spectacular memories for this season if you are tying the knot.

Perhaps you and your love first met in the season of winter, and you would like to celebrate your memories of those first fond days in which you met. Or perhaps the proposal just came and you said yes and are currently looking for ideas.

Away from the traditional summer photos, winter offers some different weather in which photographers delight in. Snow is scenically beautiful  and the winter sun can be stunningly dramatic. Rain and fog usually are frowned upon but when it comes to weddings, there are some unique moments to be captured in the weather that offers some alluring moments to be captured if you are getting married. Flowers are also important. At Vanity Fare,  we saw bouquets made from bright red amaryllis  mixed with white flowers trending. Photographs from winter weddings really were dramatically beautiful and unforgettable.

Always plan for the cold weather.  If you are posing outside for photographs you might want some shelter or a car very close by depending on how cold it is.  You have after all your love to keep you warm but we don’t want you catching a honeymoon cold. 

For your reception you may want to think about a wintry theme and make drinks complimentary to the season. Mulled wine to sip instead of cold drinks for example. Ornaments and snowflakes are perfect as part of the display. Winter wedding reception tables are important displays and you might want to think in snowflake details, crystallized displays, whites and metallics  to create a wintry wonderland. Or you might wish to have warm colors at your reception.
