I have been selling guest books for 20 years. And as I look around my store, many guest books adorn my shelves, staring at me like sad and forgotten dolls. Silk, moiré, satin, linen, plain or decorated with organza bows, swarovski crystals, monogrammed, you name it. I do have a really lovely collection of guest books. But brides are not buying guests books. What, in the end, do you do with a guest book? After the wedding, you stick it in a drawer. It is nice to reflect, later on, at the historical value of the signatures. “There’s Aunt Stella, and who was that guy that came with her?”
So now we want the sign-in process to be creative and end up with something that can be hung on the wall instead of in a drawer.
Sign-in platters have been around awhile but the problem with them is that they require re-firing (baking) after the signatures are on and in many cases have to be shipped back to the manufacturer for that to take place. Time and money, time and money. Our platters do not require that at all. And instead of costing over $100, ours are only $49.95.
Check out our cute designs and cityscape couples that you can customize with your hair color and skin color. The platter is perfect for smaller events like bridal showers, engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, even anniversaries. They make great parents’ gifts as well. Display the platter on a shelf, in a china cabinet, or hang on a wall with a plate hanger available at your hardware store. Our website, www.FavorsYouKeep.com is the place to see the best in guest book alternatives!
