Why You Should Make Room For Your Groom

It's true, weddings are all about the bride. This is the day you have always dreamed of and it is finally here! So, what is your groom thinking? Certainly he isn't wondering whether or not you should have gone with the lilies instead of the roses. There are only a few things on a guys mind when it come to getting married, but here are a few ways to incorporate that other half.

Food

Yes, let him pick out some of what you all will be dining on. Guys know what they like and if your man is like mine, he will probably go with steak or wings. Give him a choice, but help him by narrowing down the selection. Fish or chicken? Chocolate or vanilla? Make it simple and by doing this, you will make him feel like a part of the big day.

Clothes

I am certainly not suggesting that you send your groom and his merry men to the tuxedo shop alone! (Unless you LIKE powder blue) Pick out the tuxes ahead of time and then take your spouse-to-be to once again, select between "this or that" (both being options that YOU picked out).

Cake

GROOMScake that is! This one, is ALL him. Let your guy have one DIY moment and let it be the groomscake. Footballs or sportscars, as long as it is not obscene or in the middle of the room, it's his decision. Involving your groom as much as possible may take a little extra effort, but worth it in the long run!

The Honeymoon

Last, but not least, if you really want to give your guy something to do, let him research the agenda for your honeymoon. My husband had a ball planning and finding cool places and things for us to do in the Bahamas. We never had a dull moment and planning the honeymoon was certainly last on my list! He was so proud of himself and felt important knowing that he was my very own tour guide. By this time, you won't care if you lay on the beach all week or eat at the same place ten times, so let him at it!
