Thank you for your comments! It can be a difficult breaking in and changing people's minds. Keep going at it! Once people use a planner they rave about it and tell all of their friends and family. Word of mouth is truly a planner's best friend!
Please feel free to use this blog to grow your business. Give people a reason to want to hire you (I'm sure you already do that!).
Thanks again! Danielle

I am still semi-new to the industry, but I've always networked. Reach out to family, friends and former coworkers telling them what you do. Give them a quick description and an action item, for instance, "I am really excited about my new career, if you know anyone who may be interested in a free consultation please let me know. Any friend of your is a friend of mine!"
Also, Facebook has been a HUGE resource for me - www.facebook.com/FrillsandThrillsEvents. I always post use information for my fans. I really try to give them a reason to look at my page, comment on my posts and recommend me to others. Feel free to check out my page to see (I started it in February and have 254 fans). :-)
If there are any wedding networking groups in your areas, join one! What better way to get your name out there and learn about the industry then networking with seasoned wedding professionals!
Make appointments at wedding venues, dress shops and with other vendors - exchange information and keep communication lines open. You never know when you'll make a great impression on someone and in turn will get a referral from them!
