Having a list of emergency contacts is something a wise, wise bride would do. This is important - so I'll say it again but this time in BOLD .
Having a list of emergency contacts is something a wise, wise bride would do.
As much as we plan for the perfect wedding day, unexpected things can happen so on the day make sure you have planned out the who, what, where and why of your emergency phone list. Here's some tips that will help.
The most Important Rule: NEVER CALL THE BRIDE AND GROOM. They are the people who shouldn't have a worry on their wedding day, so unless you really have exhausted every other single possibility - don't call them.
Make use of the BRIDAL PARTY. It's their job to be the point of contact for the Bride and Groom on the wedding day. They should have their phone on standbye at all times to answer calls from family or businesses that you have booked for the wedding including reception venues, celebrants, photographers etc.
Give your List to EVERYONE. Have a list of every service provider, the venue, family members, important people and hand this around to as many people as possible. The more that have the list - the easier it will be to find in a real emergency.
Don't forget to CHARGE. The night before your wedding make sure you have full bars on your phone or plug it in to charge up overnight.
Keep up to SPEED. Use your speed dial to have important numbers stored the night or days before your wedding. That way you always have the number handy.
Quick TEXT. A quick discrete text can be useful if you are already set up in your ceremony venue. "Bride 5 mins late" is so much better than a noisy ring tone with the Best Man talking in an echoey church or hall.
Shake it BABY. Make sure you have your phone set to vibrate. Nobody wants the best man's/ bridesmaids to interrupt the ceremony with the phone going off because the function coordinator lost the table runners.
