Part 5: Taste
We have come to our finale blog… So I hope you have brought back the love. This blog, Part 5, will help you understand why this mini-series began in the first place, but first let’s explore the topic at hand. Using your sense of taste to bring the love back. No not in the literal sense… putting it simple, kissing!
Scrolling through relationship and love articles on Yahoo a while ago, an interesting article grabbed attention. It was an article explaining how couples have kept their loving relationships alive, helping them last. The first tip: Kiss at least 4 times a day. What??? Couples actually have to be told how many times to kiss? Or from a different angle why does “at least” 4 times work better then say 3? All these questions, and the article offered little answers. Just one, statistics say that couples who kiss 4 times or more daily have endured long lasting relationships. I would love to see how that survey was conducted. So deep in confusion, consulting the experts seemed like the best answer.
Who better to consult then people in lasting relationships, in relationships that have ended, lengthy marriages, newlyweds, the engaged… you and I. Facebook is magnificent! One status updates and the answers came rolling in. The answer that received the best reaction was one by Louise A. McAllister from Weddings by Louise “It's not the number of kisses - it's the quality of the smooch!” and everyone said, “I agree”. I must admit I agree too. Since when did quantity EVER beat quality?
So get a daily taste of quality I say. Kiss as much or as little as you like, but more importantly enjoy and savour each one! Each part of this mini-series is as important as the last. Listen to love, see love, the scent of love, feeling love, and of course taste the love. Kisses are a great way to share energy between two people. You can tell from just one kiss ones intentions. Which means you can feel love in each kiss shared. I came across a great website that lists 37 wonderful ways to kiss. I will share a few than you can check it out yourself, and make sure you try them out… it is your homework!
Speaking of homework… in part 1 the homework was to listen and explore your partners mind! A wonderful colleague Nishi Dias from Night and Day Production did the homework and reported back: “I found out a couple of his childhood stories I didn't know about! It was a fun experiment... and not as easy as I thought it would be. But worth it!” How fantastic is that… learning new things, gaining more insight into someone you love.
Ok Kiss Away, and thanks for sharing this mini-series with me! I really enjoyed exploring love though our 5 senses!
