The Royal Wedding Week is finally here and people the world over are all a flutter trying to uncover the latest of the Royal Wedding details. Since weddings are sort of ‘our thing’ here at Wedding Shoppe Inc. , we’ve been speculating for months what we think Kate Middleton’s wedding dress will look like. We’ve polled some of the ladies here at the Shoppe asking them what they think this trendsetting young Royal will be wearing in her wedding to Prince William on April 29th so without further or do, here they are: the gals from Wedding Shoppe Inc. and their picks for one of the biggest Royal Wedding details, Kate Middleton’s wedding dress.
San Patrick Bridal Gown Carpatos
Traditional and elegant with modern details. Regal and sophisticated yet young at heart. In my opinion, these statements sum up the lovely Kate Middelton’s style. This classic young lady is the picture perfect modern, royal archetype and I think her wedding style is going to reflect this, especially her wedding dress choice.
After scouring the hundreds of designer wedding dresses we have at Wedding Shoppe Inc., the wedding gown I think will most resemble Kate Middleton’s wedding dress is San Patrick Bridal Gown Carpatos. This gorgeous wedding gown is elegantly made of tulle and a beautiful lace overlay. The slim a-line silhouette is fitted through the hips and gracefully flows into a fuller skirt that is followed by a chapel train (which of course would be lengthened if this were actually Kate Middleton’s wedding dress). Featuring a strapless neckline, this beautiful wedding gown also comes with a tulle and lace embroidered jacket that is definitely fit for a Princess and one I’m sure the Queen would approve of. Modern details on this beautiful bridal gown include a tulle sash at the empire waistline that is adorned with an elegant brooch that could be replaced for one of the Queen’s crowned jewels as a part of Kate’s ‘something borrowed.’ If only we were all as lucky to borrow such coveted pieces…*le sigh*… No matter what type of wedding gown Kate chooses, I know she’ll be a stunning bride and set a multitude of trends in the process.
Watters and Watters Bridal Gown San Francisco
Sarah chose Watters and Watters bridal gown San Francisco as Kate Middleton’s wedding dress. The details that led her to believe this would be similar to Kate’s choice are the unique, illusion v-neckline and beautiful embroidered lace covering the bodice. The light organza fabric makes this bridal gown a comfortable and elegant wedding dress. For more on Royal Wedding details, check out Sarah’s other blog posts about Royal Wedding Accessories. She has some great ideas if you’re looking for Royal Wedding style inspiration. **As a part of the fall 2011 collection, Watters San Francisco is not yet available for purchase at Wedding Shoppe Inc. Stay tuned for an updated post about this beautiful gown.
Watters and Watters Bridal Gown Grafton
Watters and Watters bridal gown Grafton is Meghan’s pick for Kate Middleton’s wedding dress. This gorgeous silk satin bridal gown is a strapless bridal gown adorned with organza flowers, ostrich feathers and crystals. This bridal gown would definitely bring an element of drama to the Royal Wedding. Although it has modern details, it does hold a classic and elegant silhouette that Meghan felt would be exactly what Kate would be looking for in her wedding gown.
This classic wedding gown by Pronovias was chosen by Carolyn for its elegant and traditional details. Carolyn felt that Kate’s style is subtle yet modern and thinks that Festin by Pronovias embodies everything that Kate is. With its high v-neckline and mermaid silhouette, Kate would be able to show off her figure in the most proper way a Princess can. Carolyn is also sure that Kate will have a train following her. Whether it be a detachable train on the dress or a train from her veil, we know that long aisle at Westminister Abbey deserves it.
Debra chose Pronovias Bridal Gown Icaro as her choice for Kate Middleton’s wedding dress. This streamlined and couture like wedding gown is made of silk mikado and a gorgeous waterfall style train, which is something we think Kate would definitely be on-board with. The bateau neckline would show off her sophisticated side and the low back keeps this style modern and not stuffy. Not to mention the simplicity of this gown creates the most perfect palette for all those Royal jewels!
Pronovias Iman is a lovely prediction for Kate Middleton’s wedding dress. Laura chose this gown for its sophisticated styling and versatile options, as the lace coat is optional. The bridal gown, made completely of silk is very regal and would definitely provide a grand entrance for this new Princess. Featuring a side pleats on the skirt, this dress is elegant and stunning.
