Weddings Abroad: Checklist

If you are getting married abroad, then the usual wedding preparation checklists will not be entirely appropriate for you. Not only do you have different things to organise, but you also have to do many things from a distance, and some things much further in advance than you would if you were getting married closer to home. Some things to consider are:

1. Paperwork and legal requirements
2. Guests - they will have to book time off work, buy tickets and reserve hotels, unless you are planning on doing all of this for them!
3. Travelling out to choose a location or visit the one you have chosen
4. Organising service providers: You may even wish to organise a wedding planner in situ to do this for you
5. Travel arrangements - for yourself as well as your guests!
