There isn’t a single person who doesn’t want to have the perfect wedding. It’s one of the most important events in a person’s life after all, and well, we all want it to be a pleasant memory.
In the same way that fashion is constantly changing, wedding ideas and trends also change frequently. The most drastic changes seem to occur at the beginning of each year, and it’s been that way for as long as I can remember.
As we near the end of 2018, it may seem like whatever trends have been established are bound to be relevant until the rest of the year. The honest answer here is that one cannot make such an assumption.
But, that doesn’t mean that one cannot at least, try to clear the storm clouds a little. So, if you’re planning on getting married sometime next year, take a look at these upcoming wedding trends.
Rustic Theme
Nothing captures the essence of love as much as home does. There are a hundred little ways to achieve this look but the most effective are by making use of large wooden beams, lanterns, sepia photo shoots, handmade wreaths, and hand-written invitations. Handmade headpieces, in particular, are going to be quite trendy in 2019.
Feathers
Yes, feathers. While feathers are already popular pieces for bridal parties, there’s no reason that this particular theme can also be used for wedding decorations. Think of white feathers with their tips painted in a gold, shimmery accent.
Goodie Baskets
There are many great ways to show your out-of-town guests your appreciation for their support. However, nothing is going to work to this effect more than personalized welcome baskets (or boxes) filled with wine, flowers, candles, the wedding itinerary, and personal notes.
Floral Color Palette
Yes, the past few years have definitely been defined by muted color palettes. However, you can definitely expect to find the resurgence of deep greens, purples, blues, and other colors found in nature.
Expect to see greenery used in wedding decorations with garlands draped along tables, hanging floral decorations on walls, and of course, flowers on the bride.
The most notable usage of flowers may come in creating a flower wall. A white wall accentuated with flowers makes for an excellent photo backdrop for guests.
Themed Food Stations
Wedding receptions are becoming more personal and intimate rather than formal. While the traditional buffet-style dinner will always be a solid choice, couples have been getting quite creative in how their wedding food is presented. 2019 will definitely see a spike in the trend of serving food through themed food stations. This will allow you to set up the food stations according to the cuisine being served in that particular station, which sort of makes for a “traveled the world” experience in itself.
Trends are as fickle as the direction in which the wind blows. While this may entail that you need the help of skilled event’s organizers such as the professionals at Wonderstruck Events Vancouver, follow our advice above to make sure your 2019 wedding is on-trend.
