You're engaged! As a little girl, you have probably dreamed about your wedding day many times. Now that the special day is arriving, you can't jump into stressful planning. There are lots of mistakes you can make when planning a wedding, so be sure you are careful. Here are a few of common mistake that you should avoid!
The Guest List – Let's face it, you can't invite everyone you are acquainted to. If you have a wedding budget set up, stick with it. Your budget will dictate the size of your wedding guest list. Also be sure that everyone knows who is invited and who RSVP-ed. You wouldn't want unexpected guests showing up.
Choosing the Wedding Venue – The time of your wedding should help you establish the right wedding venue. Are you getting married in the summer, winter, during the Holidays? Are you having an outdoor wedding? If you are are, you might want a back-up plan. Mother nature is unpredictable and if it starts raining, you want to keep your guests and wedding party nice and warm.
The Fine Dressy Details - Do you have a dress picked out already? If you are choosing to use a hand me down, whether it is your mother's, sister's, etc, make sure the wedding dress fits you! If not, take it to a seamstress, but be sure that you have a final fitting right before to the wedding. You also have to remember the little details that are usually crucial to the wedding such as the rings! You wouldn't want to forget those!
Hire a Professional Wedding Photographer - With updated technology these days, it would be obvious to think that your guests will probably take enough pictures, so that you can just pick out the the best ones, and make a wedding album. But forgetting to hiring a photographer is the worst mistake you can make! A photographer will guarantee that your wedding day is recorded forever.
Lastly, but most importantly, have fun! Don't get too caught up in the moment, and enjoy the planning process. A wedding isn't about all the miniscule details, it's about you getting married. Do don't stress over the small things, and simply enjoy the big picture!
