Wedding Open House

Out of the clear blue the other night, I came up with the idea to hold a Wedding Open House at the church where I am the Wedding Coordinator (Unity Church of Sheboygan). I had been trying to come up with ideas on how to get the word out that we were marketing ourselves as a Wedding Chapel and bam (!) it hit me with the Open House idea.

My idea is to have the church open for several hours to be able to show brides and grooms what our church looks like and to tell them about our Wedding Package. I plan to have refreshments (a small wedding cake or cupcakes from a local bakery-hopefully) and will be giving each bride a rose and a free gift for coming.

I was able to get an ad in the Plymouth Review special Wedding Section that comes out this week Wed. and will be advertising in the Sheboygan paper the week prior to the event. I am also taking flyers around to many different businesses (bridal shops, bakeries, florists, etc) to try and get more attendance.

I am really hoping this is a success since it is the first event that I have planned for Unity of Sheboygan!
