A lot of thought will need to be put into the wedding flowers that you choose.  They will highlight and complement both the bride’s dress, the bridesmaid’s dresses and the ceremony and reception venues.

So, aim to choose dresses first and plan well ahead when thinking of flowers, remembering that some flowers are only available in certain seasons.  Perhaps it might be useful to visualise in your mind which colours so you have your own personal idea before visiting the florist who will work to co-create the perfect bouquet. Think about walking down the aisle and ultimately choose a spray or posy that you imagine will be both beautiful and in harmony with you in this moment.

Look through bridal magazines, surf the internet, visit florists, take in the colours and ideas, styles of sprays until you are satisfied that you know what you would like.

Classic wedding flowers include roses, the lily, and orchid. This doesn’t mean you should have a classical bouquet. You can mix and match with whatever catches your eye and heart always keeping in your mind’s eye, your dress and special day.

Round bouquets are popular with many brides and offer room for larger flowers.  Exotic sprays offer bright splashes of color but this is not perhaps for everyone.  It mostly will depend on your personal choice and what you think looks good with your chosen attire. A combination of your personality, your dress and venue should be held in mind and will add to the perfect highlight of flowering bloom.
