The owners of JP Stationery, Pam and Joe, began their journey three years ago when they were planning their own wedding. Determined to find an invitation that reflected both their personality and culture (Pam is a native of Mexico City and Joe was born Milwaukee, Wisconsin), they were unable to find the right design. Instead of settling for something that they didn't absolutely love, Joe, an interior designer, and Pam, an architect by trade, decided to make their own wedding invitations.
The final product was so unique and different that they received numerous accolades from guests and family. Prior to designing their own invitations, Pam had created several birthday-party invites for her sister. Ironically, Pam's sister told her "you should do this for a living!"
When I saw JP Stationery’s beautiful designs, I immediately reached out to Pam, who serves as the lead designer. I wanted to learn about her inspiration for creating wedding invitations with cultural elements. Pam explained "I have a passion for designing custom wedding invitations that reflect the bride and groom's cultural background. During the first interview, I gather information about their likes and dislikes, the location of their wedding, and I ask if there's anything special they would like me to add."
Pam’s personality and approach to design has attracted multicultural couples from all over the world! JP Stationery has sent wedding stationery orders written in five different languages to couples in Canada, Germany, Hawaii, Australia, Israel and, of course, everywhere in the United States. Not surprisingly, their invitations are highly requested for destination weddings or for couples who want a Latin-themed wedding that reflects their families' background. Pam personally creates the design and, in her own words, "we would never ship anything that we wouldn't use for our own wedding".
