Wedding Day Worries You Can Cross Off Your List Early

Planning for your wedding can be one of the most satisfying experiences of your adult life, when you have everything worked down to the detail, just the way you want it. But often those special nuances can come at a price to your sanity! Somewhere in the midst of the whole planning process, the to do lists become daunting, and as your big day looms near, you may feel even more pressure as you cross off one task only to replace it with another. With some focus, discipline, and a little bit of delegation, you can knock some of these duties out before things get crazy and leave your big day for the things that matter…like marrying the love of your life.

Vendor Payments and Gratuities
Final balances due from your various suppliers should come as no surprise. Even if the money is not in the bank months out, you can prepare payment envelopes to be filled as soon as your shipment comes in. Label them, make a note about the amount of gratuity you anticipate, and set them aside. As your day nears, put the applicable payments and tips in the envelopes and hand them off to a trustworthy bridesmaid for dishing out on the big day. For added peace of mine you can print off simple receipts for them to sign, leaving no stone unturned when the smoke clears.

Beauty Beforehand

Like most brides, you may be planning to have a little work done for your grand entrance so be sure to book your vendors early. Not only will you guarantee your spot with the best in the biz, but you’ll also knock out some pretty important tasks. Test runs can be done anytime, and you can be sure your hairstyle, makeup choices, and tan look great weeks in advance. The same goes for any teeth-whitening, facials, or big hair color or style changes. Even somewhat boring beauty routines, like having professionals at the Art of Dentistry Institute fix that chipped tooth will be good to have completed before the honeymoon. Not only will tackling these items leave less for last, but you’ll give yourself a cushion for any catastrophes or unsavory side effects like sensitive gums or unsightly swelling.

Memory Makers
Talk with your photographer and DJ as soon as you settle on the intricacies you’d like to see from their craft. If you have certain poses or takes from your photographer, send a list so you can ensure they have the capacity and the tools of the trade. Your DJ will need similar communication. If you want to dance to an obscure version of “Everlasting Love”, take the opportunity to reach out the DJ as soon as you decide, to ensure that they are well equipped for your wedding day tunes, and you have less on your list as the countdown continues.

Relax, Breathe, and Reach Out
Most vendors, from your venue host to your florist, are appreciative of changes you make sooner rather than later. This affords professionals an opportunity to give you precisely what you hope for without causing undue stress. Don’t hesitate to maintain open and frequent communication with everyone, and don’t be afraid to ask your bridal party to take on some of the tasks on your wedding day. Those around you will feel useful and you'll have an opportunity to bask in wedding day glow.

Your wedding day should be a memory you keep forever, and planning it perfectly is part of the fun. Make sure you are prepared and plan early with these tips.
