Kez is a young marriage celebrant
www.wedbykez.com
I was walking through the Stockland shopping centre, about to hit Banjo's for lunch and I was thinking about wedding inspiration.
Where to find it ?
Which of course is a lyric in Madonna's Vogue... and she's a stylish lady. Then I started singing the rest of the song (in my head of course) and got to the bit which lists stylist celebs by the bucketload.
So, after the exhausting insight into how my brain works, I present to you wedding style inspiration brought to you by Vogue -the song.
Greta Garbo
Known mostly for her haunting eyes Greta Garbo is a shining example of how fabulous eye makeup can make you look amazing, no matter what you wear.
Marilyn Monroe
Embrace your curves! Marilyn taught us that curves are great and we are so grateful.. If you have "lovely lady lumps" don't be shy of sheer materials!
Marlene Dietrich
Fabulously androgenous she introduced the suit and hat to the female wardrobe.
Joe DiMaggio
Joe proving that the best fashion accessory is a beautiful wife (ie Marilyn) to make a very "it" couple.
Marlon Brando
Handsome and fashionable Marlon brought the white t-shirt into the world of fashion and let us see those amazing arms.
Jimmy Dean
James to his parents, what can I say - the quiff! If you don't think this has relevance today then try and imagine Robert Patterson in Twilight without his amazing hair-do!
Grace Kelly
Proof that girls can marry their Prince one day and inherit 142 titles. Kelly's dress for the big event took 36 seamstresses three weeks to make.
Jean Harlow
Dubbed the original Blonde bombshell Harlow makes it a-ok to be a bottle blonde.
Gene Kelly
Clean cut and a smooth operator. Proof that ballet is manly and well-pressed pants are always a good look.
Fred Astaire
Why should you get your man to dance class before the big day? Fred Astaire is the perfect example of how a man that can move is very alluring.
Ginger Rogers
Ginger Rogers dance on air is right. Holding yourself with grace and having confidence mean you can wear anything and look fab.
Rita Hayworth
Heavily influence by latin cultiure Hayworth teaches us to go global when it comes to styling your wedding.
Lauren Bacall
For those wanting to perfect wearing a Beret.
Katharine Hepburn
Heralded for throwing out the fashion book Hepburn shows us that rules are meant to be broken.
Lana Turner
It was Lana's passion for sweaters that earned her the "pin up girl" title.
Bette Davis
The eyes are known and loved but is it her sense of humour that won us over. Some fabulous Davis quotes include:
"
I've no time for broads who want to rule the world alone. Without men, who'd do up the zipper on the back of your dress?" and "
I'd marry again if I found a man who had fifteen million dollars, would sign over half to me, and guarantee that he'd be dead within a year."
