As a wedding photographer, I love looking at other peoples work. It inspires me to stay up to date on different styles and trends that brides are loving. There has been one that I have seen over and over again and that is the warm vintage fade look. You have seem them before. It has the vintage color feel with a slight haze on the photograph. Not only have I seen photographers use this style of editing a lot, I have seen brides comment on these pictures saying that they really love this style. Is this the rise of a new trend? This choice of editing has been doing for a long time. However in the last few months I have seen more and more.
What is it about the vintage style photo that makes it so lovable. Is it the warm soothing colors? The vintage look itself? I believe that it is because it is something that makes the photograph unique. It does not look like every other bridal portrait out there. The cool thing about vintage photographs, is that you can always make slight tweaks to give the photo its own original look. Over the weekend, I met up with a model who did some bridal portraits for me. I have experimented with this style myself to see what people thought. When I posted the picture on Facebook, I got nothing but good reviews. What do you think? What makes it pop to you? What makes you fall in love with this style?
