Speak in code is an award winning cocktail bar situated on Jackson Row. Just off Deansgate, Manchester. Stepping inside you will be enchanted by the industrial New York vibes, from the old style steampunk lighting to an interesting range of perfectly worn offbeat furniture. This is possibly before the secret slips out about their amazing range of expertly crafted cocktails. Which you avoid prying eyes by ordering cocktails by speaking in code. This refreshing roleplay idea for a cocktail bar sees patrons order from a range of 12 cocktails, ranging from Code 1, Code 2, Code 3… you get the gist! If cocktails are not your thing, don’t worry! Behind the bar you will find all of your favorites, from Vodka to Jägerbombs to give your night that extra kick.

Sonata

Have you ever wanted to go to a New York Piano bar of a bygone era? You may be missing out on a golden opportunity to visit one much closer to your doorstep! Sonata takes inspiration from both New York Piano bars with an old style Berlin feel. What makes this extra special is the fact that Sonata has hosted over 150 local musicians to Manchester since opening in 2022, where they make it a mission to ensure that the artists are paid fairly for their work. Lock 91

What happens when you transform a lock keeper's cottage into a charming bar and event venue? Lock 91 is the obvious answer, offering an endearing experience bursting with history  and character and industrial style. Stepping inside you will be hit by a warm and inviting atmosphere which seems to radiate off exposed brickwork, vintage furniture and exposed beams. Lock 91 also offer a well regarded private hire service, perfect for parties and weddings.

Dusk Till Pawn

Is your night going to be good? Too bad you can’t ask the former fortune teller from days gone by who used to own the building Dusk Till Pawn calls home. But if you like the idea of an old style prohibition style bar that looks like a pawn shop on the outside, with windows cluttered with vintage tv’s, radios and instruments. We’d bet that you will likely have a good evening. Inside you will find old style furniture, which is reminiscent of what speakeasies looked like in the days of alcohol prohibition raids. Flight Club Manchester

It in’t all that common for bars to promote having so much fun but from the fairground horses that dance in time to the music, or the 14 darts playing areas to ruffle some competitive feathers, Flight Club has it all.
