I am sorry to be the one to tell you this, but fall is right around the corner… But it’s not all bad! That means we can be creative with flowers! Just look at this purple centrepiece below, it is filled with berries and other unusual flowers that you don’t typically see.
Flowers set the mood for your wedding. Whether their simple, elegant, outrageous or fake… They have to represent you, your partner, and your theme. This post will show you some unique examples of flowers that you can incorporate into your wedding.
But before you go to meet with your florist, make sure to have the following in mind. First, you must go with an approximate budget. Review your wedding budget and see what you can allocate to your flowers – even if you are not sure how much they will cost. At least you will have a place to start and if you need to add more to your flower budget, you can then take away from other areas as needed – but that’s a whole other blog…
Secondly, know you theme and what you want your flowers to look like. So you want a pop of colour? Do you want elegance? Or do you want something unconventional? What ever you want, make sure to keep an open mind when meeting with your florist. If cost is an issue, find out what flowers are in season during your wedding and substitute the expensive ones for those.
And lastly, read the rest of this blog – you might find an unique idea that you want to incorporate into your special day.
Above is a fall-inspired bouquet that has berries, dahlias and orchids. I love how unique the berries are and how they stand out amongst all of those beautiful fall coloured flowers. Definitely something I haven’t seen before.
For you guys out there, I know we have seen the orchid before, but check out this orange orchid buttoner. The colours are so rich and warm, a perfect accessory to a fall wedding.
Here is a rustic centrepiece that I love. It brings a natural and organic feeling to the reception. Any guest to walk in to this candle-lit room will find nothing but warmth and beauty.
The last example of a unique bouquet is this piece filled with a rustic mix of calla lilies, aged lotus pods, feathers and Queen Anne’s lace, with a vintage fur stole. You can’t get anymore unique than this…
