You see though the year may be almost over, that doesn't mean all of the fun has to end, No! I say be fabulous to the end! and I definitely plan to leave the year on the same rocket that I arrived in on! lol. So when I received this invite from Dominique Douglas(yes that's Dominique of Stylish Events) to attend a shopping evening at the one and only 'The State of Grace' - One of London's top wedding and special-occasion wear design, styling, hair and make-up house - well how could a girl refuse?! lol
I was as giddy as woman in a Louboutin sale! lol I am a MASSIVE fan of Lucia Silver (who is the Founder and Creative Director of 'The State of Grace') Her bridal gowns and occasion wear just speaks to my hidden inner diva (though my friends may dispute the 'hidden' part) I have always been a sucker for intricate beading work and detailed designs, I think in a former life I was clearly a 'Hollywood Lovely', because I just adore the old-school glamour of Lucia's gowns and having chance to be able to see them in real life and possibly meet 'The lady of Grace' herself wasn't an opportunity I was about to let pass! Oh No! I said yes quicker, than a shoe addict on a shopping spree in Selfridges lol.
As well it being a shopping evening, that night would also see the launch of the new "Give Me Grace" Garment and Accessory Collection - what more could I ask for on a Saturday evening? So when I arrived at the 'The State of Grace' Private Showroom, my eyes were greeted and delighted by a treasure trove of sparkle and glamour. I'm telling you I couldn't keep up! everywhere I turned my hawk eyes would zoom in on another piece of fabulousness; so I had to calm down and work out a plan of action: first up a glass of champagne (of course) second getting the greetings and introductions done! so after all the 'hello's", "you look lovely" and "isn't it cold out?" where out of the way, Dominique showed me around, which is when I really got stuck in! But the thing I was really hoping to do, was to meet Lucia in person and I did! Lucia was lovely, and very gracious (yes I know, I said gracious - no pun intended lol) especially considering how I was such a bundles of nerves and excitement, just yabbering and complimenting away lol; but she very kindly allowed me to take a few photo's of the gowns and accessories on display that night.
Isn't it all so beautiful and just so sumptuously decadent?! love it! Of course I couldn't leave, without showing you a few of my favourite designs by 'The State of Grace' House - it's funny because that evening really reminded of that 'Deco me Fabolous' Bridal moodboard I created, what do you think?
