Originally a private home, Castle Inn Riverside was built in 1888, based on architectural drawings from a Scottish castle. The block-long property has been under the loving care of Dr. Terry and Paul Lowry since 1994, which turned it into a 14-room inn. Intimate weddings can be hosted in the Grand Foyer, on the imported antique English staircase or in the gardens overlooking the river. Chef works with couples to create custom seated meals or buffet menus, while the rest of the staff helps coordinate outside vendors. Favorite bridal suites include Royal Court, with its two people Jacuzzi (facility fees start at $3,500, exclusive booking of the inn is required Castle Inn riverside.
Kansas requires that couples 18 and over who want to marry must present themselves, their birth certificates and divorce decrees or death certificate. If applicable, Kansas has a three-day waiting period. All require fees of $50 to $60 for the marriage license, payable in cash or money order; no blood tests or medical papers are necessary. Licenses issued in Washington are valid for 60 days; those in Kansas may be used up to six months after issuance.
