The Candy Buffet

Attending so many weddings as Boston wedding DJ's, we get the opportunity to see such a variety of different wedding styles and decor that the bride and groom have chosen.  At the same time, we get to see the latest trends in weddings first hand.   An industry trend that is becoming ever so popular, and is my all time favorite, is the candy buffet!  Having a candy buffet fits several different purposes for the bride and groom and their wedding:

First, the candy buffet often takes the place of wedding favors placed at each setting.  This saves time for the bride and groom as they don't have to make the choice of the thousands of wedding favors that are available.  And saving time in a bride and groom's schedule can be invaluable!

Second, a candy buffet can save money.  Online shopping makes it quite easy to buy candy in bulk, providing the customer with many different delicious options for an affordable price.  And you don't even have to leave your home as the candy is delivered right to you!

Third, having a candy buffet can become part of your wedding decor as well.  Choose clear glass jars or containers and fill them with candy in your wedding colors.  You can have containers that are all the same size and shape or choose a different container for each type of candy you provide.  Place containers on a table draped with linens and provide baggies for guests to take an assortment home in.  You could even write a little note to your guests on a tent card and place it at the buffet.  Make sure the table is placed in an area where guests will see it on the way out, and also request that your wedding DJ makes an announcement so all guests are aware of your thoughtful and generous offering.

And there you have it - a simple and affordable, yet decorative and elegant candy buffet!  And who wouldn't love to take a bag of candy home at the end of the evening?
