The 12 Day Marriage Proposal: Will U Marry Me?

By: Sherries Pritchard, Owner & Executive Planner of Stylish Weddings & Things, LLC

Stylish Weddings & Things knows that one of the most significant moments in one’s life is that moment when they’ve found “the one” they are ready to share their lives with. We find we can’t stop thinking of this person and can’t imagine a life without them. So for some, the next obvious step is to POP THE QUESTION:

“Will You Marry Me?”

So for this holiday season through Valentine’s Day, which tends to warm the hearts even quicker to the idea of marriage, I’ve created a fun way to propose by giving you 12 daily tasks that will lead you to popping the “Will U Marry Me?” question. Each letter represents a task as follows:

W Day 1: Write a love letter to present to them on day 12 that expresses how you much you love them OR write a series of love notes & letters and mail them every day leading up today 12.

Day 2: Invite them to join you for a walk and just enjoy the time together. Talk about any and everything that’s important to them. Walk around the mall and nonchalantly stop by the jewelry store and get a warm lead on a ring if you haven’t already bought one.

L Day 3: Laugh together – go to a comedy show or watch a comedic movie together

Day 4: Lunch – Surprise them with a lunch date

Day 5: Upload your favorite songs in dedication to your relationship on your favorite social media website page

Day 6: Make their favorite meal (or make a phone call to have it delivered!) – I happen to know of an awesome caterer who can come out to you and give you a lesson in cooking. How hot is that!

Day 7: Arrange to have flowers delivered to them at work – I just so happen to know of a couple of awesome florists who would love to design your special floral arrangement.

Day 8: Relax together and enjoy a couple’s massage – I happen to know a great traveling masseuse and company.

Day 9: Reminisce with each other on when you first met

Day 10: Years to come- Create a time capsule to commemorate a collection of items that hold sentiment to your relationship. If you’re not that crafty, I happen to know of an awesome vendor who can create a card box made for this purpose.

Day 11: Make a date for tomorrow with them to visit where you first met or another place that you both have a romantic sentimental connection to.

Day 12: Engage them in a conversation about marriage and present your love letter that you wrote on day one - Let them know how you've been trying to ask them a question for over a week. Talk about each day and its meaning. When you propose and they say yes, after the celebration, put a memento of each day into the time capsule you so wonderfully made.

If you got a “YES!”

We’d love to hear about it. Show us your time capsule on Facebook and we will give you an engagement gift of an $800 gift certificate to use toward any one of our wedding planning & coordination packages (Platinum, Gold, or Silver).

We wish you the best this holiday season and hope you will be on your way to planning yet another momentous occasion – your wedding!
