I've been hearing a lot about online meetings, Skype, iChat and video teleconferencing recently. What we are able to do with technology today is astonishing. Over the past couple months rumors circulated that the new iPhone was going to have video chat capabilities. I am not sure if they are true, but they certainly got me excited.
While searching the blog-o-sphere yesterday I stumbled across this site that takes technology to a new location.
IdoStream.com has the capacity to take video footage of your wedding and stream it instantly over the internet to any guests that could not make it to the actual event. This is very convenient considering world events, not to mention the stress and expense that traveling can cause.
In one case
they were able to link the entire wedding party together with the bride’s sister who was stationed in Iraq. After viewing the ceremony, the sister had a pleasant video chat session with all the guests (bride and the groom in the front of course) from her base.
This could also work as an ideal compromise to not inviting that grumpy second uncle of yours. He can watch a live video from the comforts of his home and only bother his wife and cat.
Just joking…
There are a lot of new websites and ideas out there. Regardless of where you stand on technological innovation, this could be a pretty useful web service.
