Wedding sparklers are a growing trend in the US. While many people think of throwing rice and releasing doves, wedding sparklers are an excellent alternative to some of the more "traditional" staples.

Roughly 10 years ago, most people have had never heard of wedding sparklers. That is not the case today. Nearly 10% of weddings now incorporate wedding sparklers as part of the celebration. Some brides choose to use them for sendoff lines (sparkling tunnels), while other choose to use them for centerpieces on the reception tables. They can even be used as actual wedding favors that are both inexpensive and also very fun.

There are several types of wedding sparklers available on the market these days. Most people are familiar with the standard gold sparklers, which are very common on other holidays such as New Year's Day or the 4th of July. However, it is important to note that actual wedding sparklers will come in a much more decorative box, and also will have the benefit of being "low smoke"; which makes them ideal for photos. Below, I have outlined some of the latest wedding sparkler types for you to compare.

10" Wedding Sparklers

10" wedding sparklers are great because you can get a whole bunch of them for really cheap. This makes them a very affordable option, but they don't last as long as the longer sparklers. This makes then less ideal for photos.

10" Color Sparklers

10" color sparklers are similar to the regular 10" sparklers, but they are available in 3 different colors; Red, Blue, and Green. This makes them desirable if you want your sparklers to match your wedding decor.

18" Neon Sparklers

18" neon sparklers are a very unique item indeed! You will never see a sparkler burn with more intense and vibrant colors, and they last for a good amount of time. However, because of all the color they produce, they also smoke much more than other sparklers.

20" Wedding Sparklers

20" wedding sparklers are the most popular size for sparklers at weddings. They combine the best of two worlds; low price and long burn time. They are ideal for photos and sendoff lines since they don’t burn up too quickly.

36" Wedding Sparklers

36" wedding sparklers are the longest sparklers you can get. They burn for almost 4 minutes each, making them the longest lasting sparkler for weddings. Also, because they are nearly twice as thick as any other sparkler, they produce huge sparklers that really show up well in photos.

Heart Shaped Sparklers

Heart shaped sparklers are a new style of sparkler that is specifically designed for weddings. They are shaped like a heart, which really sums up the romantic idea of a wedding. These are growing in popularity rapidly, and more shapes of sparklers are sure to follow.

As you can see from above, there are many types of wedding sparklers available from which to choose. As demand grows and technology evolves, the sparklers of tomorrow are certain to become more interesting than anything we could possibly imagine.
