So many people so little time…

So you’ve made your first appointment to go bridal dress shopping and you are SO excited!!!! But that excitement can quickly turn to headache when you resolve to bring every fifth cousin twice removed, your friend that hasn’t liked anything since acid wash jeans, and your mothers friend because “well she would be so offended if she wasn’t invited; she’s known you since you were this big”! Remember this is a special day for you. Picking out your wedding gown is a personal and wonderful moment in a woman’s life and having the wrong people with you can turn it into a disaster. Remember first and foremost, even if someone is helping you pay, this is YOUR decision. Keep reminding yourself to pick what you like and what you’re comfortable in, not what great aunt Biddie expects you to wear. Keep the list of people who will accompany you to the bridal salon small and limited to the most important or closest to you. And if you really believe that you will have a difficult time listening to yourself when others are around remember it IS okay to look by yourself and have an idea of what you like before anyone else can tell you what you like.
