I am full of admiration for a couple I married over the Christmas break.

Shaun and Sarah hired me to perform their wedding ceremony in late November 2009. They had been together for a number of years and had the world's happiest baby in 6 month old, Tyler.

Here's the catch, they have just over one month to put this wedding together.

In a "once in a blue moon moment" all of Shaun's and Sarah's family would be coming to Newcastle this Christmas, including parents from England and Adelaide and brothers from all over Australia.

Having just recently had my own wedding, after 18 months planning, the thought of putting it all together in just 6 weeks is terrifying!

Needless to say, this young family did an amazing job of finalising hair, flowers, dresses, suits, venues all the time juggling a little baby and relatives flying in at all times and places.

It was wonderful to see all the pieces fall into place and the ceremony come off so smoothly and a perfect reality check to any couple fretting over planning their own wedding. A lot CAN be acheived in a small amount of time, it WILL all come together on the day and as long as you are surrounded by friends, family and the person you love most in the world - you will have an amazing wedding day.
