I hate disposable cameras (
like this) on tables at wedding receptions. Sorry. I just do. They look cheap.
Also, who doesn't have a digital camera and/or camera phone? (Exhibit
A: I saw a homeless man yesterday talking on his iPhone. Not. even.
kidding.)
Why would you want tacky disposable cameras on the b-e-a-uuuuutiful tables
you have designed, created, and paid an arm and a leg for? I
understand the concept. You want to see your wedding from your guest's
perspective. You want as many pictures as possible from your wedding
day. Well darlin', there certainly are other options.
Make sure your photographer knows what kind of photos you are interested
in. Let him/her know you want your guests in the picture too. Also,
when chatting with your friends and family before the wedding, mention
how important the photos they take are to you. They'll take extra care
if you mention it. I printed the pictures I took at a friend's wedding
and made a photo album as a wedding present. The bride and groom
l.o.v.e.d. it.
Another option would be a photo booth. You can easily rent one from a party
supplier or find them online. Photo booths are a fun way to have your
guests interact and loosen up. Tip: Request that the machine print out
two copies. One for your guests to keep and one for them to put in
your guest book.
A less expensive option to the photo booth is this nifty idea (as seen on Ruffled.)
