My favorite and most popular chemical peel is the Sensi by PCA. Formulated for ethnic skin and other extremely sensitive skin types. It will strengthen and brighten the skin while helping to treat sun damage and other forms of hyperpigmentation (dark spots). Also provides anit-inflammatory, anti-acne and antibacterial action, making it an excellent choice for helping to calm rosacea.
The Sensi peel is my favorite because it can be used on the very darkest skin to the most sensitive skin with amazing results. A mild tingle will be felt during the application but will subside within a few moments. PCA corrective serums are applied right on top of the peel to enhance penetration of the active ingredients. Some of the corrective ingredients like Vitamin C, Retinol, Kojic Acid, Peptides and Epidermal Growth Factors are customized to each individual’s skin care needs and concerns.
Sensi peel is formulated with Lactic Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA), Azelaic, Kojic Acid and Arbutin.
Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peels are often thought of as very aggressive and producing substantial discomfort. PCA Professional™ TCA peels are very different from the standard. The TCA solutions are blended with many ingredients to produce dramatic results without the discomfort and downtime associated with the application of a straight TCA peels.
For maximum results, I recommend a series of 4-6 peels and on-going maintenance. Home care support products before and after a chemical peel are paramount. There is little to no "down-time" associated with most of the PCA chemical peels and most patients experience a slight tightening of the skin with mild flaking only lasting 3-5 days.
Individuals who should consider a chemical peel suffer with hyperpigmentation (brown spots), fine lines and wrinkles, desire smoother skin and/or suffer from conditions such as acne and rosacea. Only allow a PCA trained and certified individual to perform a PCA chemicals peel. Here are some really nice before and after pictures for chemical peels provided by PCA Skin.
