We finally got registered. We registered at Sears and MEC. It was super fun! It's like shopping without spending any money!
But now I have registry guilt. I got all caught up in what the books say. All the rules. How many items to register, check each price point, registering for somethings I would probably never use because the book said I should.
When I was reading up around eco/green weddings I found all kinds of cool sites that let your guests donate to charities or buy you 'experiences' like a day at the spa on your honeymoon. But I forgot about them and registered for a bunch of consumer products like everyone else!
I'm going to keep the registries. I know their will be guests that will want to get us a traditional wedding gift, like a set of sheets. But I need to remember my values and set up an alternative, non-consumer driven registry as well.
