You might not know this, but one of my package “Please Pick Up Where I Left Off" is inspired by the lovely bride, Erika! She came to me having already settled 7 vendors. With six weeks left until her wedding day, I began working to make her romantic dream wedding ceremony a reality. 6 weeks, 300 guests, 17 vendors and 1 beautiful (madly in love, I might add) couple was all it took to create this beautiful wedding.
The one aspect of working with Erika and Sergio that I thoroughly admired was their cordial manner. They not wanted me to focus on making their wedding, an event they'll cherish for life, but also for their guests. Weddings are a grand affair, and I made sure, none of their guests felt left out!
To involve the guests in their wedding festivities, the day was marked by several unique experiences. That's right. One moment I was directing traffic to get Erika across the street, the other moment, making sure the rain doesn't ruin the day's activities. It was a fun filled day, beginning with a beautiful wedding ceremony at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, San Antonio.
For their " Fiesta" party, I had to arrange for an assortment of props that included straw sombreros, wooden maracas and chilli pepper necklaces!! With the Jolly Ranchers providing the music, the guests had a blast dressing up and shaking a leg to their favorite tunes!!
Each moment of the wedding event was captured as per the request of the bride and groom. Whether it was the fun shoot at the Alamo, or the intimate session at the Oge House. Photo-sessions can be really tiring, and to make sure everyone had enough energy in them to enjoy rest of the party, I directed them all to the cocktail house where they thoroughly enjoyed the signature drink, Mint Majito Lemonade of the Lemonade Co.
Music... Majito...Maracas.. hmm what am I forgetting?
OF COURSE-their elegant candy buffet!! The party just wasn't complete with the guests taking the sweetness of the entire event with them! Erika & Sergio's candy station was designed by Principles in Action to depict the romantic aura of the wedding reception. I was glad to assist the groom in this regard, who wanted his favorite chocolate, Kit Kat, to be placed in ample quantity at the station!
Giving a special thanks to all the vendors I worked with.....
