Put Down The Bridal Magazines

Hey brides! I just wanted to share the inspiration for a styled shoot I’ll be working on in the next few months. When I look for inspiration, I like to look outside the box. I know, I know. That is very cliché, but it’s true. My favorite platform for inspiration is fashion! A cute Chanel dress, colorful jewelry or a pair of Louboutins, is what gets me excited when thinking of a new design concept.

Fashion designers use so many different fabrics, patterns, colors and textures to create their designs, and I feel these can easily be translated into fabulous wedding design. I know brides look to the wedding blogs and magazines to get inspiration, but if you’re looking at other weddings, than your wedding is going to look the same, except for a few changes here and there. Not to say, that these sources aren’t to be used. They have great ideas and tips, but if you want to be unique, look beyond the obvious. Whether it is fashion, make-up, art or something else, open your mind, and eyes, to what is around you! Inspiration can come from anywhere.
