So we have some new ideas and future samples that will be hitting our site and services that we offer. One of these is our new promotional videos. One of the best ways to advertise is to let your client's see how you work. I just posted the video we did for Kelli and her photography. Check it out. We would love to open that avenue of videography up for ourselves and help you get your name out there at the same time. Win win!!!
Our other new up and coming offer will be keepsake videos. Remember those messy videos of your dad or mom holding that huge camera in your face while your playing, desperately trying to capture the moments of your childhood. Well, just view this as a more beautiful and professional alternative to that. A well put together memory to show and remember your children at those special ages, the ones you don't get to take with you into their teen years.
I also wanted to explain a little bit about why Kelli and I started doing videography and why we love it so much. Kelli and I met and were friends almost instantly. We had been friends for a little while after the Katrina hurricane disaster in Louisiana. An opportunity came up to go and help with relief work in New Orleans and we buddied up to go. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience that changed our lives forever. When we first went in October of 2006, we really didn't know what to expect. All we really had was our work boots, our camera, and our California smiles. We came back with the best friends we could have ever made, including one that became my husband, and some great footage. We started messing around with with an editor shortly after that and our obsession was born. We became known for our videos from Katrina. They showed not only the devastation there, but that even among that sadness that there can be joy when you help others. We had the time of our lives and the video footage to prove it. It's been 4 years now, and we have been transforming those original skills, and love for memories into something that we can help others with. So that's why we do videography. We know how important memories are, and we know how much we enjoy watching them over and over and remembering those special times in our lives.
Another reason for my love of videography was definitely my grandfather. He always was the one with the camera in our faces. He was a wonderful grandpa though. Always treated my cousins and I with so much love and care. I look back at those times with such a happy heart. He passed away when I was only 15 years old. And when we watch those memories of us as little kids, there is nothing better than being able to see him talk, move, and hear his voice. We can't really tell what the future holds for any of us in the means of our lives. That's why we lock them down in a video. So you can remember not only the moments, but the people that make your life what it is.
Well check out our new video. We are really excited about it and had a wonderful time shooting it. There really is nothing better than working with your best friends doing what you love.
