Planning your Wedding Day - Should you Hire a Professional?

Your wedding day is a once in a lifetime event. Planning your wedding down to the final aspect is very important to the turnout of the event. You have two choices, really. Take the easy and stress-free way out and hire a professional wedding planner. Or you can do it a ll yourself. With the right amount of guidance and the right time management, planning your own wedding isn't as Difficult as it may seem. Selecting a wedding photographer is very essential and there a few tips to keep in mind when doing so.

First you have to decide on photographer. This may sound simple enough, but don't make any quick decisions. Choosing an photographer should be a top priority. A professional photographer should be able to capture all the special events that occur without intruding on the entire ceremony. Ask your family and friends for recommendations. On top of that go ahead and do some research on your own. Check out photographers' online wedding galleries and look at completed wedding albums to get a feel for the photographer's style. Does that style match your own?

Now it's time to meet the photographer. Meeting the wedding photographer first hand before the wedding is necessary in straightening things out to guarantee that everything is set when the big day comes. An point of interest that should be discussed is the location of the photography. Traditionally, the bride usually gets ready in her hotel room, while the groom gets ready elsewhere. The photographer will need certain times and locations to be sure that he/she can arrive on time to photograph both the bride and the groom. Maybe two photographers will be necessary. You should also discuss where you want pictures to be taken with the bride and groom, the entire family, etc. Most photographers will give you a lot of suggestions. For example, a nearby park, the beach, a garden location, indoors. This definitely needs to be decided well in advance.

If this seems like a lot of stress, you might want to think about recruiting some extra help, whether it be professional or just friends and family. The couple, bride and groom, should be a stress free as possible on the day of the wedding. If the bride is stressing over the last itty bitty details, that stress will more than likely show up in your pictures. On the day of your wedding, just let go of all the planning and preparations. Enjoy your day because one thing is bound to go wrong. Don't fret about the details and enjoy the day in itself. Your joy and happiness will pull through in the wedding photos.

Make a schedule. This is the final piece of advice. Create a time schedule of the week prior to the wedding. Then photocopy it and hand it out to anyone you think might need it. This takes away any confusion that might arise. Also make the final confirmations with the photographer, catering, etc to finalize the times, places, and anything else. This will minimize errors and mistakes that might arise. If you want your big day to be a success, preparations is key. On your wedding day, there should be nothing left for you to plan. All that is left for you to do is get married! And enjoy the day, the emotions, the party, and everything! If you're truly enjoying your day, it will show in your pictures!
