With all the technology on hand shouldn’t wedding planning be easier? Why must brides possess a love/hate relationship with this exasperating activity. After all, this is what brides have looked forward to their whole life. We all know about the sits like Pinterest, Wedding Wire, and The Knot that aid in such planning. We also know that we can access all of these useful sites from our mobile smartphones at anytime and anywhere. The mobile smartphone has become the planning center for brides everywhere. So how we can make this procecss even easier you ask? By using the right apps. I am not talking about Pinterest in this situation. There are tons of apps out there that many brides overlook because it is not directly marketed towards them. I am going to do a short blog series on how brides can continue to plan with ease with some of these creative apps.
Our first app will help in aiding with picking out the perfect color combination. This is in my mind one of the toughest decisions. Do you remember opening up that box of 80+ crayons and remember seeing colors that we did not even knew existed? Chances are you will find even more strange color names when you begin planning. This App will take all of that color mumbo jumbo away and make it easy to pick the colors and know what they are. This app is called Adobe Kuler.
Adobe Kuler may not be easy for brides to find because it was designed and marketed towards individuals with creative type careers such as graphic and web design. What this app does is allow you to take or import a picture. After doing this, the appliction will point out 5 unique colors in the photograph. If you are not happy with those 5 you can select your own just by tapping. You can save these individual pallets and even see them from your computer at the Adobe Kuler website.
Below is an example of a image saved from TheKnot.com on my iPhone. I then imported it to Adobe Kuler to build a color pallete from the individual unique colors. This is such a great tool for creating, saving, and sharing color ideas for your wedding.
I hope you enjoyed this post. More articles on planning with creative apps to come soon! Have a great day and happy planning.
