Planning a wedding in Dubrovnik for a wedding planner

Wow! Last Tuesday I was having a pleasure to coordinate one of my central events this season. After a year of wedding planning, my dear Michelle and Grand had their big day. She and Grant opted for a wedding in the St. Blaise church in Dubrovnik, followed by the reception at the Hotel Excelsior. The time between the ceremony and reception was enjoyed by the guests in form of a pleasurable cocktail with sea views, while the couple went with Veronica for a photo shooting in nice historic center of Dubrovnik.

Michelle is a wedding planner in the UK and it was a true pleasure and adventure for me to assist her. When you put together a professional link and the fact that Michelle and Grant (and their guests) are very nice people and that it all went fine & smooth and really enjoyable through the wedding planning process - you get probably on of the top 3 Dubrovnik weddings in 2012 season.

A three days event

It was a great choice of Michelle and Grant (Grant is a DJ and they got together on a wedding in the UK - thumbs up for great music you were playing on the reception Grant!) to offer their guests travelling from the UK a three days event. On the first day a gathering dinner was organized in an Old Town Dubrovnik restaurant immersed into 15th century buildings, on a nice open terrace, with great food and service provided by family run place. After the wedding day, whole party had another more laid back event on Island of Lokrum, which combined a few baths as well. For me, a wedding planner in Dubrovnik it was a pure pleasure to work with Grant and Michelle on all three events.

Guests at the wedding

Many of Michelle and Grant's guests were connected to wedding business: assistants, wedding planners, catering people, DJs - so I hardly wait for more feedback from them. While I wait for photos to be selected and processed I will just share a few archive pics to depict the nice itinerary we've had. St. Blaise Church wedding in Dubrovnik Hotel Excelsior.

Another great thing about the wedding was that our dear town photographer took a few pictures of the couple for local news web site: http://dubrovacki.hr/clanak/43134/englesko-vjencanje-u-crkvi-svetog...

Here is a follow-up to this post. A letter from Michelle received a month after the wedding, where my dear Michelle describes her Dubrovnik Wedding days in Dubrovnik: http://doyouwed.me/dubrovnik_wedding_venue_palm_terrace_excelsior.php

Here is the same letter but with a few images from the wedding day: http://weddingsindubrovnik.wordpress.com/2013/01/06/283/
