Okay all you brides out there. Recently there has been an epidemic of the same old, non creative place card holders. Very traditional, very silver, very BLAH! I would love to start seeing some of you brides (atleast the FL Brides) step it up with some creativity! We are surrounded by everyday items to use for placecard holders. Here are some ideas I would love to start seeing more of in the table landscape:

Pine Cone, Decorated Eggs (boiled of course, lol could you imagine!), bamboo, fresh fruit, Nuts, Veggies, wood twigs, corks, shells, raw noodles dyed, photos of your guests instead of a name card, flowers, candy, go crazy at a thrift shop and pick up so McDonalds toys or if you already have children their toy box, Matchbox cars, feathers, forks, small photo album with photo frame cover (this is where their name would go), jacks (yes the kind you play with), pretty much any kind of toy (lego men!), old video came cartridges, alphabet blocks, CD jewel (this could be a gift too! have a cd of photos on it or your thank you message on it.), popsicle sticks in playdough shapes, crayons, keys you have no idea what they go to, I can keep going on and on.... But by now I hope you have gotten the idea that this is 2010 and when it comes to weddings, it OKAY to get creative and uses item that represent you you two are as a couple. If you MUST use the same old, traditional, non creative place card holder ATLEAST make your name cards Unique!

Here are some examples of name cards: Old school library cards, movie ticket stub, photos of your guests, letter art, receipts that look like a restraunt you ate at or hotel you went to, Credit card, christmas tree car air freshener (yes the one you hang from you rearview mirror) make the cut out and add your own scent, license/ID, voters card, bus card, train ticket, plane/cruise voucher, candy wrapper, Comic strip, rock concert ticket, museum ticket, opera/play ticket, small canvas ( you can get these at a craft store size of an index card smaller) and make there name a work of art, military ID, pages from a favoite book (please don't use the bible), flag, engraved/stenciled wood, coupon book, Seed pouch, bookmark, napkin, postcard, again you should be getting the point here by now --- Anything other than the tradtional look.

Okay, so I've hopefully give you some ideas you like or have started rolling with the ball and came up with something completely all your own (good for you! =)
Now I can't help you with the Holder part, but I may be able to help you with the card part. If you like any of the card Ideas and not sure how to go about creating them yourself Just ask me, I can make the design only for you in Photoshop and you print them, or I can do both and mail them out to you.
Cost would of course depend on the amount of work needed to complete your order. If your looking for design only (you will have to hand write there name in), it'll be cheaper say $25 cheap.
So if your interested, send me an email with your request and let's get to work ... allyouneedislove@embarqmail.com
