Pantone Color of The Year 2013: Emerald Green

It's officially official: the unnamed color gods at Pantone have revealed the 2013 Color of the Year - "Emerald."

While we're still not clear on exactly how a particular color is elevated to the status of having it's very own year, we're still always intrigued (and inspired!) by Pantone's seasonal color palettes- especially because we know the fashion world is often intrigued and inspired as well.

Emerald, of course, is a gloriously rich clear green and, according to Pantone's official announcement, is the color of new life, "of growth, renewal and prosperity ... for centuries, many countries have chosen green to represent healing and unity."

Growth, unity, new life? Sounds like a wedding to us! Emerald bridesmaid dresses with white or bright colored flowers? Gorgeous.
