Planning a wedding is as exciting as hectic especially if it’s a destination wedding. If you miss out single essential thing all your plans for the day will turn upside down and instead of enjoying the day you will be tensed and confused regarding how to fix the problem. In a destination wedding you will not be well versed with the place, so it is better that you go well prepared carrying all the required things. Here are few things to remember while you both are packing for your destination wedding.
- The most important thing is the wedding dress (bride and groom’s). Don’t take a risk by keeping the wedding dress in the checked luggage; it is most likely to get lost. As you will be new to the place (your wedding destination) you cannot assure that you will find a good wedding dress store over there. Most airlines have coat closets where travelers can hang their dress bag. (Check out with your airline).
- Carry all the legal documents that are required for the wedding like birth certificate, divorce papers(if applicable) etc. If you forget these essential things then it is quite likely that your wedding may be cancelled due to unavailability of documents. I am sure you don’t want this to happen to you. Don’t put these papers in checked luggage.
- While many resorts and hotels have their own spa and salon where both of you can get pampered with beauty and massage treatments and get a wonderful hairdo. Incase if you wish to style your hair without going to any parlor then make sure you carry all the essentials like rollers, strengtheners and other hair accessories.
- If you car carrying favors or any such item that are fragile then wrap it carefully in a towel or a thick cloth. Pack it carefully placing it in the center of the suitcase and pack the surrounding area with clothes, so that they do not break.
- Put all liquid items like shampoo, lotion, gels etc, in zip lock bags so that if accidently they burst open, they will not dirty your clothes.
While planning a wedding (destination wedding) keep these important things in mind and you will have a hassle free, destination wedding.
