Oprah Gives Away Vera Wang Wedding Dresses

There is no one that can excite a television audience like Oprah Winfrey.

So imagine what the response would be like if Oprah decided to give away Vera Wang wedding dresses to Brides to be on her show!

Well, I am told that, that is exactly what she did. When she hosted celebrity wedding dress designer Vera Wang. Yes, Vera Wang the designer featured at the most talked about wedding this summer - Chelsea Clinton's Wedding.

On September 17, Oprah interviewed Ms Wang in one of the last episode of the Oprah Winfrey show which is in its final season. And during the show while featuring brides that shared their fantasy about wearing a Vera Wang designed wedding gown - the Cadillac of wedding dresses.

Oprah asked all brides to be to stand in the audience while saying that she understand that they have not found their wedding dresses as yet and then announced that "Miss Vera Wang is coming to your rescue!"

Creating a frenzy amongst the ladies and leaving not a dry eye in the audience.

The ladies got to choose from 11 of the designers White by Vera collection. Along with the dresses the ladies also received a $250 gift card to Kohl's, a $4,000 gift card for Marriott Hotels and Resorts; and two United Airlines travel vouchers.

And if you are now dreaming of a Vera Wang no need to worry as the new collection will be available to all brides at David's Bridal beginning in February 2011. And with prices ranging between $600 and $1,500, this collection will allow Ms. Wang to reach a market of brides she has never had before.

And you could bet, not that she needed it, with Oprah star power that is a LOT of brides!
